EVENT SITE: Novi Sad, Serbia.

DATES: July 12-22, 2007.

2007 QUALIFIED TEAMS (16): Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Korea, Lebanon, Lithuania, Mali, Nigeria, Puerto Rico, Serbia, Spain, Turkey and the United States.

TOURNAMENT DRAW: March 27 in Novi Sad

EVENT DESCRIPTION:
The FIBA U19 World Championship For Men will feature 16 national teams that qualified through their FIBA zone tournaments. Athletes 19 years old or younger (born on or after Jan. 1, 1988) are eligible.

EVENT HISTORY: Originally known as the FIBA Junior World Championship, the tournament has been held every four years since 1979. USA men's teams are 45-10 in the U19/Junior World Championships and has won three gold and two silver medals, while placing fifth with a 7-1 record most recently in 2003.
